I think I might pee my pants!!!!!

My wonderful mom has written a book. Yes, a real BOOK!!!!! IS THAT AWESOME OR WHAT? The book is called Wren Bay the story of making a home. Here is my mom’s description:

“It is about Wren Bay, a newlywed, whose husband is gone to serve in WW1. Wren is a Boston socialite (although she was homeschooled), who is now living on her husband's dairy farm in Massachusetts. She knows nothing about dairy farms but she does not need to, she has the Harrison's family. They are caretakers of Bay Farm.

Wren is determined to use this time of separation from her husband, Devlin, to learn how to take this amazing, old stone house and turn it into a home. She will learn how to use all she has been gifted with and make the most of it.

Wren Bay, is also about the people in her life. Like her Aunt Sophia, a milliner who has raised Wren since she was 9. Aunt Sophia may be impractical and dreamy but she is a savvy business woman, who lives her life on her terms. Also there is Madam Mimi, Aunt Sophia's French cook. Who came to America after losing her beloved husband, Benard. She has given Wren the joy taking perfect ingredients and making heaven out of it. As Madam Mimi says, "One should never cook like a chef but understand and have the same skills as one." There is the Harrison family who have always been caretakers of Bay Farm. Mrs. Harrison, Mary, is very unsure of Wren and her harebrained (creative) ideas. Wren is trying to find her space in this new world, to focus on her blessings, not her losses and make her dreams come true, despite Devlin not being with her”

I am sooooo excited to read the book! If you would like you can read the first chapter here.

To purchase the book go here.

And here is a promotional video I made just for the book. I hope you like it.

I am soooooo proud of my mom, I never thought she could write. It has been a long, crazy trip but I hope something comes of this book. Congratulations mom, you have given birth! lol jk
I hope you are having some wonderful fall weather. (It’s just started at my house.)

My darling

Well here is my darling for the Share your Darling blogfest. This is a short story I wrote one day when I felt writing. It’s in a sci-fi world, like Star Wars. The two characters, Jade and Karet, are much like Jedi and they just finished their training. They have been friends for a long time but had to be apart for 8 years. They have just recently gotten together again and they now have the courage to tell each other how they feel. This is after the scene where they tell each other that they are in love. ;) ♥ So I hope you enjoy and be sure to see everyone else’s darlings. Thanks for doing this Michelle! (Oh, please ignore my grammar errors for I am sure there are some. Grammar is not my thing)

~~~TGDB
We were in the gardens again, it was our favorite place to be. We where sitting on a flat stone by the pool, watching the reflections in the water.
“Tell me what your thinking.” Karet whispered in my ear. I looked away from the water and into his eyes. I slipped my hand into his, twisting our fingers together.
“I was thinking how wonderful it would be if we could sit here together all day. Never having to leave.”
He smiled that dazzling smile that I loved. His fingers rapped more tightly around mine.
“What are you thinking?” I said.
“I was thinking, well, about something.” He paused while his face turned pink.
“What, you are not going to tell me?” I teased. He laughed, a good hearty laugh. Then he grew serious.
“Well, it’s more of a question. One I am afraid to ask.”
I frowned in confusion. What would he want to ask me that would frighten him. Unless….
My heart picked up in pace, my face grew warm. I tried to compose myself, waiting till I was sure of myself to speak.
“Karet, you can ask me anything you want to. You know that.”
“Anything?” he said.
“Of course.” my heart felt a slight squeeze. His eyes grew warm, he grabbed my other hand. A long moment passed as he looked at our hands. It was painful to wait, but I knew I had to let him take his time. This was as hard for him as it was for me. Finally he spoke.
“You know my feeling, the strength of my passion. And I know yours. There is only one thing that would make my life whole.
For you to be mine. Maybe I’m being selfish, but I can not make myself feel any different. You are like air to me, I can not live without you.”
He stood up and got down on one knee if front of me. I tried to consecrate on breathing, I did not want to pass out at the wrong moment.
“Jade, my one and only love. I promise to love and cherish you, to respect you and honor you for my whole life. I will do anything to deserve you. Will you do me the honor of… of taking my had in marriage. Jade Sora, will you marry me?”
I could not breath, my heart seemed to stop dead yet pounded with a speed not possible. My thoughts where a jumbled mess, I could barely think. The only thing I could concentrate on was my answer.
I knew what to say. I did not care what would happen to us, there was only one thing that mattered. When I found my voice I said these words. Words neither of us would ever forget.
“I can not imagine a world where you don’t insist. So yes. It will always be yes.”
Tears filed my eyes, but I did not notice. Karet’s face broke into a smile that threatened to tear his face in half. His eyes light up with that smoldering fire, he practically glowed.
He stood up and then I threw myself into his arms. He held me tight, rapping his strong arms around me.
I hid my face in his neck, crying now. I don’t think he cared if I got him soaked. After a few minuets, I pulled away enough so I could see his face. His eyes where wet with tears to. I could not help but let out a shaky laugh. He laughed with me, a almost musical sound.
“Oh, Karet, how can I express my feelings. How can I tell you the elevation I feel, the overwhelming happiness. It is just to much!” He smiled gently.
“Well. I know how to express mine.” My heart stopped one again.
He unwound his arms and reached up to hold my face in his hands. I could not breath. His face came closer to mine, I could feel his warm breath on my face.
And then his warm, soft lips pressed against mine.
Blood boiled under my skin. My breath came in wild gasps. My fingers knotted in his hair, wilding me to his body. My lips parted as I breathed his heady scent. Then he kissed me back, his unyielding lips moving with mine. His lips where so soft, warm and sweet. It felt like nothing else in the world. And then, all to soon, his lips left mine. We both where gasping for air.
“Wow” was all he could say.
“That’s a understatement” I breathed. My head was spinning. My fingers where still braided in his hair. I could not help but run my fingers thru the golden locks on his head. It was so soft.
He held me closer to him, my body pressing against his.
“I love you, so much.” his voice was a sweet whisper.
“I love you to.” And these words where truer then anything else in the universe.
And then he bent forward to kiss me again.
Road Trip with for SSBB guys part three
Well here it is, part three! WOHO!!!! I am really happy with this, the only thing is I have never been to the grand canyon so I have to describe it as best as I can. If any of you have been there I hope I did justice to it. The above photo is the photo the guys take in the story. I am not good at this kind of thing so don’t hate me for the crabby job. Done with Photoshop. I hope you enjoy this. Happy summer!
~~TGDB
Road trip with Marth, Link, Ike and Roy.
Part three:
Marth sighed as the wind played with his blue hair. Smiling contently he turned to Link who had the same look in his face.
“Amazing, isn’t is?”
“I know.”
They where standing near the edge of the Gran Canyon, the wide vista displayed before them. Ike was sitting on a rock sketching away in his black leather notebook. Roy came to stand next to Link with eye’s as big as dinner plate’s.
“Wooooow. I never knew it was so big!”
“Yes Roy, it is very big.” Marth replied with a voice of awe.
“In fact it’s 277 miles wide, ranges in width from 4 to 18 miles and attains a depth of over a mile. And on a side note it’s…”
“Oh Marth, please! Enough!” Roy complained, covering his ear’s with his hands.
“I had enough listening to the guy in the gift shop. I don’t need anymore info pumped into my brain. It can handle only so much, you know.”
Link stifled a laugh, giving Roy a goofy look. Roy stuck his tongue out in that childish way. Link rolled his eye, pulled out a camera and started snapping photos.
“Hey guys, let’s get one with all of us.”
“Ok! I’ll stand next to you, best buddy.” He said to Marth, playfully punching him in the arm. Marth gave him a dirty look and then called out,
“Ike! Get over here, we are taking photos.”
Ike reluctantly but his notebook away and walked over to stand next to Roy. Link was setting up the camera on a tripod.
“Give me a minute guys!” He called over his shoulder.
“So, you where doodling again?” Roy asked Ike.
“Yes I was but I would not call them doodles. More like sketches. This place is amazing, I could spend hours just drawing the beauty here.”
“Oh, cool.”
But in truth Roy was thinking it was really silly. If he was to draw, it would be a robot, a mutant or something like that. If he where to draw at all.
“Ok, it’s ready everyone!” Link said pushing buttons on the camera.
“On the count of three, I will push the button and run over. It should be about 10 seconds till it goes off. Ready? One, two, three!” Link ran over next to Marth and everyone got ready.
“Don’t you dare give me bunny ears, Roy.” Ike warned darkly.
“Why would you think I would do that?”
“Say cheese everyone.” Marth said.
“CHEEEEEEESSSSE!!!!!”
“Ok, that’s it!” Link ran over to the camera, looking at the photo.
“This is great! We should totally get this framed when we get home.”
“We will see what we can do. Now I think we should have lunch.” Marth said walking to the bus, he opened up the back and grabbed a ice cooler. Roy ran and pulled a blanket out of the back seat and spread it out on the ground.
“It not the most comfy place to sit but hey, it could be worse. We could be sitting in a ’grand’ lava lake.”
“Ha, very funny genus!” Link retorted, his voice dripping with sarcasm. Then they set our their lunch. It consisted of a loaf of French bread, several different cheeses, salami, grapes, assorted vegetables including olives (but not black. Ike hate’s black olives), bubbly water and homemade fudge they made in a microwave at a gas station. It was Marth’s idea which the guys thought was brilliant. They sat, talking quietly amongst themselves just enjoying the wonderful weather.
“What could be better that having a picnic with a view like this?” Marth said, sweeping his arm to all the grandeur before them.
“Not much, I would imagine.” Ike replied after taking a bite of stinky blue cheese.
“How can you stand to eat something that smells like baby diapers?” Roy exclaimed with a look of disgust.
“Well, at least it doesn’t taste like baby diapers. Heeeere, have some and see for yourself.” Ike tried shoving a piece into Roy’s face, but with a loud cry he fell back and scooted away. Ike and Link laughed hysterically, even Marth covered his face with a hand to hide a smile and a giggle. Roy climbed back onto the blanket, pointing at Ike.
“Don’t do that again! It’s not funny!”
“Yes it is and you know it.”
Roy just glowered.
“You know Roy, you don’t know if something is bad for you until you try it.” Marth suggested. Roy sat there with a martyred look on his face.
“Oh come on man. Cheer up!” Link said encouraging.
Nothing.
“At least he’s not asking you to read Shakespeare.“
When Roy did not respond, Link smiled then made a goofy face, sticking a carrot stick in his ear. Roy could not contain himself any longer and fell back again, holding his sides with laughter. Then everyone started laughing hysterically. When they calmed down Roy gave Link a high five and said,
“This is the best picnic ever, stinky cheese and all.”
If you where standing on the other side of the Grand Canyon you could hear laughter floating on the breeze.
Share your Darlings blogfest.
Hello all! My good friend Michelle Gregory is having a writing blog fest called Share your Darlings. It’s to share your favorite scene you have writer for a story. Here is what she say’s:
“We all have one. Some of us have more. It's the "favorite scene." You know, the one you spend days working on, crafting every word, changing each sentence five times. When you come to the end, you congratulate yourself on what a brilliant writer you are. You can hardly wait to show it to your crit partners.
They read. You wait with anticipation, ready to hear the words, “Congratulations. Wonderful. We’re envious of your writing prowess.”
Instead, you hear the words: It’s time to kill your darling.
You’re crushed. You want to argue. They don’t know what they’re talking about. Can’t they see how much blood and sweat went into those finely honed words? Don’t they understand that this was the best thing you’ve ever written?
You’re too afraid to say anything. You go home. You put the story away. A few days later, you look it over again. You consider what they said. You finally admit they were right. The scene has to be cut. It contributes nothing to the story.
But you can’t bear to hit the delete key. You spent too much time to relegate the words to novel purgatory. You look around to make sure no one is watching. Surely your crit partners will never know. When you feel it’s safe, you highlight the whole thing and click “cut.” You move it to the “extra text” file. You can always use it later.
Well, here’s your chance.
Instead of killing your darling, why don’t you share it with the rest of us during my “Share your darlings blogfest” on July 1st?”
The rules are thus:
- Pick a favorite scene that you deleted or used. Either one is ok. (We don't want to miss out on brilliant prose just because you decided to go against your crit partners' advice and use it instead of cutting it.)
- Word count: The 600 word limit is out. I'll leave it to your discretion as to how many words you share, but please be reasonable. We don't want a novella on our hands.
- Give a brief introduction to let us know how it fits in your story and what story it’s from.
- Sign up here.
- Mention the blogfest on your blog.
- Post your darling on July 1st and link back to this post so we can all read each other's darlings.
- If you want, you can tell us why it’s your favorite.
So I will be sharing my darling on July 1st with you all. I encorage you to go join if you’re a writer. It is sure to be fun! I hope you are all enjoying the summer weather. (It just started to feel like summer here. lol) Have a great week!
Road trip with four SSBB guys part two
Here is part two of my road trip story. And some music to go with it. Enjoy!
~~~TGDB

Part two:
“How about you turn on the radio?” Ike suggested to Link who was in the driver seat.
“Ok. What station do you want to listen to?”
“Whatever.”
The crackle of the radio turning on was heard throughout the car. Then the station came in.
“Be sure to tune into Hyrule HiFi on Friday to hear a live performance by The Triforce Gang, right here on Hyrule HiFi 183.7.” the Dj said.
“Oh, I love them!” Roy cried out from the back seat where he was engaged in a thumb wrestling match with Marth.
“Phff, their ok.” Ike replied.
“Ok? There awesome!”
“I agree with Ike.” Marth said, pining Roy’s thumb at the same time.
“They are just another group going for the general listening audience. And they have no taste.”
“How about we just listen to the music instead.” Link chimed in, trying to make peace. Commercials where playing at the moment, Roy was coming back with a vengeance to win over Marth.
“Welcome back to Hyrule HiFi. Now this song go’s out to Heather D. of Tania from your friend Chad R.” A fun beat began to play and then Link began to sing. (See link)
“Hey…uh uh huh. What I like about you, you hold me tight.”
Then Ike joined in with a deep bass voice.
“Tell me I’m the only one wanna come over tonight, keep on whispering in my ear tell me all the things that I wanna hear. Cuz its true that’s what I like about you. That’s what I like about you.”
Roy stopped his thumb wrestling match with Marth and began to sing as well.
“What I like about you, you really know how to dance. When you go up, down, jump around, talk about true romance. Yeah, keep on whispering in my ear tell me all the things that I wanna hear cuz its true, that’s what I like about you.
That’s what I like about you,
that’s what I like about you,
that’s what I like about you.”
“Come on Marth. Sing with us!” Link insisted.
“Oh, alright.” He said with a sigh. Marth had a wonderful tenor voice and could sing almost anything well.
“What I like about you, you keep me warm at night. Never wanna let you go, you know you make me feel alright. Yeaaaaaah.”
Now they where on a roll, singing at the top of their lungs and with all their might.
“Keep on whispering in my ear, tell me all the things that I wanna hear.
Cuz its true that’s what I like about you.
That’s what I like about you
That’s what I like about you
you you you
That’s what I like about you.”
Heads where bobbing, Roy was doing the fist of rock and all where having a good time. If they could have they would have gotten up and started dancing. They kept on singing until the song ended.
“Whew, that was fun!” Ike said, a big grin on his face.
“Let’s do it again!” Roy exclaimed with his fists in the air as soon as the next song started to play.
“Here we go!” Link called out.
“Just dance…”

Update and a story

Hey all! How are you? I hope you all are feeling well cuz I’m not. I have a sore throat and buzzy ears. But enough about me for I have a story for you all! Now this is going to take some explaining. There is one game me and Ashoka looooove to play on our Wii. It’s called Super Smash Bro’s Brawl.

Our favorite characters from it are Prince Marth, Ike, Lord Roy and Link.
Marth, Ike and Roy are from the game Fire Emblem. Link is from Legend of Zelda.

I came up with a story about the four of them on a rode trip and the funny things that happen to them. To better understand the story here is a description of each characters personality.

Prince Marth is my favorite characters (besides Link). He is the Prince of Althea in the Fire Emblem games. I see him as being very classy. Someone who loves books, cooking, the arts and classical music. He is deep and emotional, some would say broody. But he still knows how to let go and have a good time. Here is a description from the SmashWiki: The prince of Altea, in whose veins the blood of heroes runs. He and a small group of stalwarts fought to free Altea after it was invaded by the kingdom of Doluna and the dark dragon, Medeus. With his divine sword, Falchion, he fought and defeated Medeus. However, Altea was then invaded by King Hardin of Akaneia and eventually destroyed.

Ike is a cool guy. Very commanding but at the same time laid back and calm. He like his music, quiet time and a good battle. He is often in the background but everyone can rely on him to back them up. Here is his description from SmashWiki: A member of Crimea's top fighting force, the Greil Mercenaries. He's a man of few words whose blunt manner gives the impression that he's uncaring, but he's actually a passionate hero. He was crucial to the reconstruction of Crimea. In Radiant Dawn, he continues to show his deep sense of honor and leads the Greil Mercenaries to the aid of the Laguz Alliance.

Now, there are actually two SSBB games. The is the regular one and then there is SSBB Melee. Melee was released first and had different characters that the newer one. Roy is one of the characters that is in Melee but not SSBB. Here is a photo of SSBB Melee.

And here is one of SSBB.

See the deferents? I have not played Melee but I think I would still prefer SSBB.

Roy is about as crazy as they come. A pyro maniac and a goofball, you can bet he will be the life of the party. Being the youngest of the guys (he’s only 15), he is a bit immature and silly. But he is kind and loving and a good friend. When he’s not playing pranks on you. lol Roy’s description: The son of the lord of Pharae Principality, Roy was studying in Ostia when the Kingdom of Bern invaded League of Lycia. His father fell ill at this time, so Roy assumed lordship of Pharae's armies. After his fateful meeting with the Princess Guinevere, his destiny became inextricably linked with the fate of the entire continent.

Link is a hero and a sweetheart. He is fun and carefree. (often being Roy’s partner in crime.) Passionate and caring, as well a being a bit silly. He will do anything to save his friends. Link’s description: A young man who emerged to rescue Hyrule from peril. He's the bearer of the Triforce of Courage who fights to keep Ganondorf from conquering the world. His green outfit is a constant throughout the series. He's a skilled swordsman, horseman, and archer. He's also proficient with bombs and boomerangs.

*whew!* That was a mouthful. Now onto the story. They will be a collections of short story’s of the guys adventures while on a rode trip. Here is part one, I will be writing more soon. Thanks for reading and enjoy! Have a great week everyone!

Rode trip with Marth, Ike, Roy and Link.

Part one:

It was Marth’s turn to drive. Ike had called shotgun as soon as he found out he would not be driving. (Roy was pretty sore about that one)
Link had his DS out and was playing Spore.
So that left Roy alone and bored.
That is never a good thing.
“I’m bored!”
“Well, then find something to do.” Ike said over his shoulder.
“But I have nothing to do.”
“Oh well. Your loss.”
By now Roy was sulking. He looked over at Link. He was so pulled into his game that Donkey Kong could have picked up the car and he would not have noticed. His eyes where glued to the screen and was playing like a madman.
Roy had his own player but had insisted that he had played all the games a hundred time over. So he sat there looking out the window, not really seeing the scenery that was flying buy.
Looking at Link again he noticed a small bit of hair sticking up from the top of his head. It looked really out of place Roy thought. So very quietly, very slowly, he reached over and pinched the hair between his first finger and thumb.
And then he pulled.
“OOOOWWW!!!!!! ROY! You pulled my hair!!”
“It was sticking out of place. I was doing you a favor.”
“By hurting me? You little jerk! That was so mean, I’m telling on you. Maaaarth, he pulled my hair!”
“Did not!”
“Did to!”
“Did not!”
“DID TO!!!”
“Enough!” Marth said. “I don’t want to hear anymore about it. Roy, say you are sorry.”
“But I didn’t do it to hurt him.”
“I don’t care, you still need to apologize.”
“Yeah, say your sorry.” Link said, glaring at Roy with a smirk on his face. Roy glared back.
“Tell you what, how about I hurt you for real.”
And with that he lunged at Link bating away his DS and grabbing a fist full of hair as well as his right wrist, pining Link down.
“Hey! Stop it you creep!” Link replied while kicking his feet out to stop Roy and smacking the side of his head with his free hand. Ike rolled his eyes and ignored them. Marth gritted his teeth.
“Stop it now guys.”
“He started it!” Link called out in-between slaps and hits.
“I do not care who started it, because if you to don’t stop right now I will finish it.”
His words had no affect. The fighting continued like he had never said anything. Marth sighed and turned to Ike.
“What are we going to do with them?”
“Well, we could yell and scream at them for hours on end with no end results or join the fight ourselves but that wouldn’t work either. Oh, there is the option of stopping and leave them at Aunt Fanny’s house.”
Both Link and Roy instantly stopped fighting and looked at Ike with a look of absolute horror. Roy climbed of Link and sat back in his seat. Then he picked up Link’s DS and handed it to him.
“Here you go. Sorry about puling you hair.”
“Thanks. And I forgive you.”
It was silent for a few seconds.
“Who is Aunt Fanny?” Marth inquired curiously.
“My aunt on my mothers side.” Ike replied in a very casual manner.
“So are they scared of her?”
“You have no idea what she’s like!” Roy said, a tremor in his voice.
“She likes to make us clothing and dress us up like, like… little boys.” Link chimed in. Roy suppressed a shutter.
“Well, we know how to get you two of you to behave now.” Marth said, a smile lighting up his face.
“I don’t like that look of yours.” Ike said warily.
“Oh, I am just starting to like this Aunt Fanny more and more."
Roy and Link where silent as the grave.
And they didn’t fight with each other for a long time.

A few quotes I love

Hello all! Here are some of my most favorite quotes. Enjoy!

"The gulf's enchanted, where the Sirens sing--- and coral reeds lie bare, where the cold sea-maids rise to sun their streaming hair." (I do not know who wrote this, sorry.).

"Children have to be educated, but they have also to be left to educate themselves." ~Abbe` Dimnet

"What i like best is a book that's at least funny once in a while... what really knocks me out is a book that, when you're all done reading it, you wish the author that wrote it was a terrific friend of yours and you could call him up on the phone whenever you felt like it. That doesn't happen much, though." ~J.D. Salinger

It is not so much for its beauty that the forest makes a claim upon men's hearts as for that subtle something that quality of air that emanation for old trees that so wonderfully changes and renews a weary spirit." ~Robert Louis Stevenson

"Thank goodness I was never sent to school it would have rubbed me of some of my originality."~Beatrix Potter

"It may be possible to do without dancing entirely. Instances have been known of young people passing many, many months successively without being at any ball of any description, and no material injury accrue either to body or mind; but when a beginning is made -- when the felicities of rapid motion have one been, though slightly, felt -- it mist be a very heavy set that does not ask for more" ~Jane Austen

"You can never get a cup of tea large enough or a book long enough to suit me." ~C.S. Lewis

Cloud Warriors

Here is a short story I wrote in November. I was on vacation and I had just got a new digital camera. So I was taking a bunch of photos. I had taken the photo and the story was inspired by it. I am hoping to do some drawings to go with this. Enjoy!

Have you ever looked at the clouds and tried to see what shapes you could find? Well what you may not know is that some of the clouds in the sky are really ships.
In the Beginning of the world, after what is known at the Great Betrayal The Mighty One felt that the sky must be protected from the enemy who craved to take control of all life on Earth. So He selected a man and woman who was brave and strong in spirit to become the first air warriors. They founded the Cloud Warriors, a advanced race who flew in ships covered in clouds and created amazing technology and weapons.
Their ships appear to be mere clouds but if you where to really see them up close you would find a whole ship, amazing vehicles complete with guns, force shields and living quarters. Young CW are trained in aerial combat, weaponry, science, literature, including the Word of The Mighty One, and knowledge of life on Earth.
These humans have never lived on Earth, only visiting it on their missions. Angels help the CW in their fight, wearing white robes and silver high-tech armor. Where their armor comes from or what it's made of only a few know.
The angels and CW fight against the Clouds of Darkness (COD), a army of the Enemy. The Prince of Darkness stole the souls of humans twisted and broke them to be his dark warriors. When you see dark brooding clouds you are looking at the enemy of the sky.
CW and COD are always fighting for control of the Earth's atmosphere and the human soul. You know what thunder and lightning storms are like. They, in truth, are fierce, intense sky battles. Armed with the latest in ASG (Atomic Space Gear) the CW are always on alert, keeping the sky free from the COD's grasp.
So if you ever look at the clouds on a sunny day, think of the brave Cloud Warriors fighting to keep you safe.

A fall poem.

Here is a poem I wrote a few years ago. I am very happy with it, it's one of my favorite poems I have wrote so far. Enjoy!

Fall.

Cast away like a damp old rag, the summer is gone, leaving the fall to come.

With it's brittle leaves and darken sky, I will sit by my fire, sipping my tea.

And reading a book of sunny day's gone by.

Thanks you Pink Fairy for the photo.

A poem by me

Light and Life (Or "Ode to a Jedi):

A blinding flash of bright blue light,

Cut's down the one's who oppose him.

Not in anger or fury he fly's,

But passion to save all innocent lives. ~~~BY TGDB 09

So for your reading enjoyment, here is my story. Enjoy!

Swords and Brothers

This story is dedicated to all the dreamers in the world.

"The grey never seems to go away, does it Maror?"
Two Elves walked across a beach on a cold and misty shore. Sand crunched under their leather boots, the wind whipped their hair into a frenzy. Maror and Bara were traveling together to the costal city of Porsba.
"Well then, this is a treat." Maror replied. For the sun had managed to break out thru the bank of clouds and a lovely golden rays were falling from the sky.
"Yes, a treat indeed. But do you think it will last? Washara is not known for it's tropical weather."
Bara was fair, with long blond hair and blue eyes that he could use to spot a falcon a hundred miles off. Tall and lean, Bara was quite a match when it came to a fight, even though he did not look it. His greatest skills where archery and diplomacy, he had the ability to talk or fight his way out of almost any situation.
Maror was almost the complete opposite. He had dark hair brown hair and green eyes like emeralds. He was big and muscular, a real like Samson. HE was a master of the sword and ax, able to wield both with great precision.
"I doubt it. But we have seen worse weather, haven't we? Like the first time we met."
Bara laughed, "Like I could forget it! True we were but younglings then, but what do years matter to us? As I distinctivly recall, a great wing storm was passing through, and I had been playing out amongst the trees. You know how much I love the trees. Anyways, I was so frightened, I just started to run."
"And that's when you ran into me." Maror said with a grin. "And look at us now, best friends, almost brothers really. Traveling together to visit our old master in a town we have not seen in years."
Bara gazed out upon the dark waves, his eyes becoming distant, full of memory.
"Fay-Kora. How I miss him."
"Me too brother, that is why we are taking this long trip to see him. You know he doesn't like to travel now that he's lost his sight."
They both remembered that day. They where fighting the men of the east when a Durg hit Fay-Kora across his face. He survived, but his eyesight did not. So he went to live in the small city of Porsba. Maror and Bara went and stayed with him until there training was finished.
That was 1,007 years ago. Now Maror and Bara where famed warriors of Dor-Hara, the capital city of Serro. They traveled the world looking for adventure and exsitement but always helping people when ever they could. For they had such tender hearts, full of love and compassion fueled by The Great Maker King.

"Well. we might as will hurry up if we're going to get there before night falls." Bara said.
"Indeed." Maror replied.
The dry grass on the dune to there left swayed in the wind, caring a strange odor with it. Maror froze in his tracks and looked about.
"What is it?" Bara said in a quiet voice.
"We are not alone." came the reply in the softest of whispers.
Suddenly from over the dunes came a long gurgling howl and then another and soon the air was filed with them.
"Durg's!" they both cried out at the same time. "It looks like we'll be late after all." Bara sait with a gleam in his eyes.
He pulled out his bow and nock an arrow. The sound of metal scraping against metal was heard as Maror unsheathed his sword. They stood back to back but angled to face the dunes. More shouts where heard as the Durg's got closer. Soon they could see there heads coming into view over the rise. And then they could see them in full.
The Durg's where huge and tall with great muscular arms and legs. Their thin, oily hair laid limp upon there green-grey skin. Carrying crude but deadly swords, clubs and maces they where a terror to behold.
But the Elf's where not fazed a bit. They had fought many of this kind before.
As soon as the Durg's saw them, a huge one in the front gave an ear perching scream and charged forward. Bara and Maror raised themselves, taking their stance.
Bara set his sights on a particularly ugly one to the right. He pulled back the bow string and then, TWANG!
The arrow flew faster then a human eye could follow, boring itself into the neck of it's target. The beast roared in pain and then collapsed ontot he sand. A moment later more arrows where set loose and Durg's fell fast.
Maror let out a war cry and plunged into the teeming horde. Silver flashed everywhere as Lela, his sword given to him by Fay-Kora when he completed his training, swing with blinding speed putting an end to any Durg who was unfortunate enough to be to close to it's blinding fury.
Both Elves fought with great speed and skill, but still the Durg's kept coming.
"Where are they coming from?" Bara yelled over the noise, fighting now with his twin small swords which where better suited for close combat.
"I don't know!" Maror managed to call out. He was fighting a very large Durg which was giving him some trouble. Bara spun over and caught the beast behind the knees. It let out a loud roar and fell to the ground. Maror finished it off with a swipe across the neck.

So many Durg's where on the beach not that the Elves where forced closer and closer to the cold icy waves.
"Where to now?" Maror said dryly, his feet now splashing in the water. Bara looked about him and then his face lit up. "There!" he cried. Out in the water there rose two great islands of stone. They were tall and had trees and grass upon them.
Maror gave Bara a nod of the head.
"Well my friends," he called out to the Durg's. "It has been a pleasure visiting with you but I am afraid we much be on our way." With that the Elves turned on there heels and ran into the water. Soon they where up to there necks and then they started to swim.
They swam fast and graceful. The Durg's just stood on the beach looking rather confused.
As soon as Bara and Maror reached the bottom of the largest of the stone islands, thay started to climb the side. From one hand hold to another thay flew. In a matter of moments they reached the top and stoof there looking back at the beach they had been on just a few moments ago.
It took the Durg's a few minutes to realize what happend and when they did they became enraged. They ran onto the water and started to swim to the island. They where more clumsy in the water then on land but soon they made it to the base and started to climb.
"They are rather slow, don't you think?" Bara said. "Yes they are." And slowly they where getting closer. "They will reach the tip soon, slow or not." Maror pointed out. "we have no where to go."
They quickly surveyed the small forest growing on top of this unusual island. At least five trees gave shade to the grass that seemed to grow out on nowhere. There was also shrubs and brambles here and there. A few firds flew from their roost in a tree, giving a call as they flwe into the great blue-grey sky.
The sound of climbing Gurg's interrupted the otherwise peaceful scenery.

"Well this is another fine mess we've gotten outselves into agian. Bara remarcked. Maror harrumphed.
"What do you purpose we do?"
"Fight untill they're dead or we are."
"Do you have a better plan?"
"No."
"Ok then."
Bara pulled his bow out again and looked at it lovingly. He had named it Zeor after his great grandfather, who was a master of archery. Fay-Kora had presented it to him the day he had finished his training.

Fay-Kora had brought out two bundles wrapped in fabric. He handed one to each of them.
"These are your wepons. They are your tools, not toys. You have both have proved yourself worthy to carry on the mantel of your families.
Maror, your blade was your uncle's which he used in the Battle of a Thousand City's.
Bara, this bow was made from a branch of the Great Tree of Legends, crafted by Zeor himself. Use these wisely, for a weapon is only as good as it's user. May you bring glory to The Maker King with these gifts. Now go, go and bring honor to the Kingdom and...

The memory faded from Bara's mind as the Durg's got closer to the top. He looked at Maror, who's mind seemed to be in the same place. He smiled at his brother in all but blood, the best friend he ever had besides Fay-Kora.
They both know they might die here upon a lone rock surrounded by water. But The Great Maker King had called them to this task and they where not going to back down now.

With a smile on both there faces, they readied there weapons to face the battle together.

The end!

I would like to thank my good friends Imagination and Michelle for there help with this story. And a special thank you to Angel, who helped me edit this (over the phone no less). Without you this would not be finished. Thank you!

Mr. Darcy postcard 1

Hello my friends! I love Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. It is one of my favorite books and movie. I love both the BBC and the new P&P movies. I came up with a great story about Mr. Darcy. A few years after they got married, Mr. Darcy and his good friend Colonel Fitzwilliam decided to go on a trip around the word. Elizabeth wanted to go, but someone had so stay behind to take care of the house. So Mr. Darcy promised Elizabeth that he would write her postcards from everywhere they went.
So here is the first postcard, where Mr. Darcy tells Elizabeth about the sea voyage across the Atlantic ocean from England to New York. I hope you enjoy them! I have written down what it says in the photo above so it's easier to understand. So here you go!
Postcard 1: From England to New York

My dear Elizabeth, I hope this letter finds you in good health. I truly wish you could accompany me and Colonel Fitzwilliam, but there are so many duties at home and I do not wish to part you from your dear sister. The sea voyage has been rather pleasant, except for a occasional swell. I must be frank with you my love, I became rather seasick. The Colonel was of no help for comfort, as he was quite disposition as well. We are about to land, so I bid you farewell and will write again once my pen finds time. May the Good Lord grant me sweet dreams of you my darling Lizy.

Yours always,
Fitzwilliam Darcy
The next one will be about them in New York! That will be a hoot! lol Have a wonderful week everone!
