Mr. Darcy postcard 1

Hello my friends! I love Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. It is one of my favorite books and movie. I love both the BBC and the new P&P movies. I came up with a great story about Mr. Darcy. A few years after they got married, Mr. Darcy and his good friend Colonel Fitzwilliam decided to go on a trip around the word. Elizabeth wanted to go, but someone had so stay behind to take care of the house. So Mr. Darcy promised Elizabeth that he would write her postcards from everywhere they went.
So here is the first postcard, where Mr. Darcy tells Elizabeth about the sea voyage across the Atlantic ocean from England to New York. I hope you enjoy them! I have written down what it says in the photo above so it's easier to understand. So here you go!
Postcard 1: From England to New York

My dear Elizabeth, I hope this letter finds you in good health. I truly wish you could accompany me and Colonel Fitzwilliam, but there are so many duties at home and I do not wish to part you from your dear sister. The sea voyage has been rather pleasant, except for a occasional swell. I must be frank with you my love, I became rather seasick. The Colonel was of no help for comfort, as he was quite disposition as well. We are about to land, so I bid you farewell and will write again once my pen finds time. May the Good Lord grant me sweet dreams of you my darling Lizy.

Yours always,
Fitzwilliam Darcy
The next one will be about them in New York! That will be a hoot! lol Have a wonderful week everone!

  2. Oh Auberne`,
You see, I told you that you were creative!!! I absolutely love this!!! The post card is gorgeous and the letter is so fabulous!!! Very well-written. I dare say, Miss Jane Austen would certainly approve! It sounds just like something Mr. Darcy would write! I think it would be wonderful to compile all of these postcards into a book and have it published!!!! I love Pride and Prejudice, too... the book and both the movies, though I will say the A& E version was my favorite!

Great quote! We thought that was so funny!

    Love, Paula
